Accordingly, construction improvements to address this replacement need are as follows: 1. Electrical Improvement: Installation of a new double ended outdoor unit substation (USS-1) with new primary load switches, transformers, and switchgear, configured for Main-Tie-Main distribution. Installation of a weatherproof, insulated enclosure, complete with lighting, heating, and ventilation to house the new USS-1. New electric manholes/handholes and Ductbanks to and from the new USS-1 to provide power and controls to the new equipment, and to re-route power and controls to equipment currently served by the existing USS-1. Replace existing wires and cables in existing underground Ductbanks and exposed raceways, boxes, and fittings. Temporary independent power needed for some existing equipment during load cutover. a. Structural: A concrete foundation pad to support the new USS-1, and equipped with ramps and stairs to provide access to the equipment. b. Relocation: Relocation of utilities to accommodate construction of the new USS-1. c. Demolition: Demolition and decommissioning of the existing USS-1 upon completion of construction of the new USS-1.
