4.1. Restroom Cleaning Chase SFL – One (1) Restroom, Butler SFL – Two (2) Restrooms The Bidder is to provide all labor, materials and equipment to maintain restrooms in a clean and orderly fashion. Restroom cleaning will be conducted one day a week on a weekly basis from April 1 through October 31, and immediately before and after Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day holidays. Restroom floors will be swept and mopped. Toilet seats, risers, and lids and urinals will be scrubbed with a soap solution and sprayed with disinfectant. Restroom walls shall be scrubbed with a soap solution during the first cleaning of each month, or more frequently as needed to remove dirt, graffiti, insect nests, etc. Toilet paper and urinal deodorant blocks shall be added as needed. Sidewalks will be swept. 4.2. Litter Removal The Department operates most state fishing lakes and wildlife areas with a “No Trash Policy”. Trash barrels or dumpsters are not provided, and area visitors are asked to take all trash with them. Some litter is expected, however. The Bidder will be responsible for picking up and disposing of litter left on the area. Litter shall be removed from parking areas, along area roads, shorelines, fishing piers, and boat ramps, around restrooms, and within picnic and camping areas. Litter and ashes will also be removed from all area fire rings. Litter removal will be conducted weekly from April 1 through October 31, and immediately before and after Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day holidays. 4.3. Mowing and Trimming The Bidder will be responsible for mowing and trimming area grounds. Mowing will be conducted by a lawn type mower (not a tractor mounted agricultural mower) with cutting height not to exceed three (3) inches. Mowing shall be conducted in parking areas, along area roads, access trails, shorelines, fishing piers, and boat ramps, around restrooms, and within picnic and camping areas. In addition, trimming shall be required around area signs, restrooms, solar lights, buildings, fishing piers, gates, boat ramps, sidewalks, and trees within picnic and camping areas. Mowing and trimming will be conducted during weekdays as outlined in the mowing schedule below, from April through October, and immediately before Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day holidays. In general, areas to be mowed include those areas that are currently mowed, however Bidders are asked to consult respective area managers to determine if additional areas are to be included or removed from mowing operations.
