Selected Summer School Core Service Providers will be responsible for delivering comprehensive, full-day programming for TK–6th grade students during a minimum of 30 non-school days of summer, for a minimum of nine (9) hours per day. Programs must be designed to reduce summer learning loss, promote student engagement, and support the overall goals of the Natomas Unified School District (NUSD) and LEAP Academy. The program must be safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate, and shall include the following service components: Academic Support ● Provide targeted literacy and math instruction that aligns with NUSD’s academic priorities. ● Offer tutoring, skill-building, and project-based learning designed to minimize summer learning loss. ● Integrate academic strategies into enrichment activities to reinforce student learning in creative, engaging ways. Enrichment Opportunities ● Deliver a wide range of enrichment options such as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), visual and performing arts, leadership development, and physical fitness.
