CT is seeking a Consultant to identify what vehicle options exist on the market as a replacement for our 30’ diesel fleet. With support from our Training Department, the Consultant will identify and analyze those maneuvers that limit the use of a larger vehicle and see if the recommended replacement (if found) can be operated in a similar manner to the 30’ fleet. Based on the findings here, the Consultant may be asked to explore changes to service to best continue serving the areas impacted and define and quantify those impacts. Potential recommendations from the Consultant may involve other routing paths, roadway infrastructure modifications, and/or the use of alternative service delivery modes, such as microtransit.
