The selected firm will work collaboratively with the City to finalize the scope of work during contract negotiation. The following preliminary scope of work is expected to include, but is not limited to, the following tasks: • Subsurface and Surface Investigation: o Conduct below-ground exploration, including infiltration testing, using borings and/or pits. Perform above-ground mapping of areas suspected to contain previous fill. • Critical Areas Assessment and Recommendations: o Provide mapping and engineering recommendations for steep slopes. Coordinate with the City’s environmental consultant(s) regarding wetlands, streams, and any other identified critical areas. • Geotechnical Report: o Prepare a comprehensive geotechnical report to support structural design, site planning, and permitting. The report should address foundation recommendations, site grading considerations, and soil stability, as applicable.
