1. Netting System must not be attached to any existing buildings, poles, dugouts, backstops, etc. Minimum netting standards should be black 1-3/4” square mesh, twisted twine, with rope boarder. Netting design must meet minimum wind loads and exposure category for Oconee County, GA. Netting layout must be designed so balls do not get trapped in the netting and/or discharge in an uncontrolled manner. Netting structure must be designed to prevent any sagging in the netting, to include future sagging. Netting should provide at minimum coverage from quad center past the end of each dugout. Netting shall be individual panels between each pole, attached with black PARA CORD or equivalent. Nets shall be attached at the top and bottom with appropriate size cable per design. Netting should have a minimum ten (10) year warranty against UV fade and UV wear, weather protection and mold/mildew resistant with break strength of 265 lbs. Installation shall occur in accordance with all manufacturers’ recommendations and approved drawings. Netting structure shall be designed with clips or similar to break if heavy object, ice or other is on the netting system. 2. Poles Structural support poles should be galvanized vinyl coated, no wood poles, with galvanized post caps. Size, height, diameter, strength, corrosion resistant poles should be identified, as well as how they will be installed. Poles must be installed with the appropriate depth underground and backfilled with appropriate pound per square inch of concrete. 3. Cable/Hardware Steel cables for strength need to be defined, as well as length of cables and connection points. Connectors to be defined to include type, material, strength, including points of contact with cables/poles. Hardware should be the appropriate stainless steel utility snaps or carabiner clips.
