2.2.1 Project Goals The purpose of this Contract is to provide pharmaceutical services to include dispensing and delivery of medications as well as clinical pharmacist consultations and services to six (6) MDH facilities as follows: • Deer’s Head Hospital Center (DHHC) • Holly Center (HC) • Potomac Center (PC) • Regional Institute for Children & Adolescents (RICA) – Baltimore • Regional Institute for Children & Adolescents (RICA) – John L. Gildner/Rockville • Western Maryland Hospital Center (WMHC) Facility specific information and demographics are provided in Appendices 8-13. 2.2.2 State Staff and Roles In addition to the Procurement Officer and Contract Monitor, the State will provide the following staff: A. Facility Contract Monitor(s) Facility specific information and demographics is provided in Appendices 8-13. 2.2.3 Other State Responsibilities A. Each facility may provide normal office facilities and equipment reasonably necessary for Contractor performance under the Contract. B. The State is responsible for providing the following: 1. Scope of Services: Define prescription fulfillment, specialty pharmacy services, medication management, or other tasks. 2. Regulatory Requirements: Ensure the vendor understands compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and state pharmacy laws. 3. Patient Data & Privacy: Handling patient information, establish secure datasharing protocols. 4. Billing & Reimbursement: Clarify insurance processing, copay structures, and reimbursement policies. 5. Inventory & Supply Chain: Provide details on medication sourcing, storage requirements, and distribution logistics. 6. Performance Metrics: Set expectations for turnaround times, accuracy, and customer service standards. 7. Technology Integration: Ensure timely collaboration to facilitate compatibility with electronic health records (EHR) and pharmacy management systems. 8. Contractual Agreements: Pricing, and dispute resolution terms. 9. Additional assistance and services as need for revisions to logistics, if needed. Contractor Responsibilities and Tasks
