The City of Groton is issuing a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to qualified companies who can provide an Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Device (“ATESD”) system for the City. This includes the installation, implementation, operation of certain aspects of the ATESD, training and continuing performance of the hardware, software and supporting services needed for this system to function properly. The proposals shall be for a complete “turnkey” operation. The ATESD will focus on speed enforcement. The City currently has selected four (4) potential locations for installation of devices. Approval of the locations is needed by the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation, and prospective vendors will be required to assist the City in compiling, collecting, and presenting all documentation associated with the State of Connecticut ATESD application.
