The City is aiming to reactivate Lyman Street, complementing other recent downtown redevelopment projects and the street's current development. After the property had suffered from disinvestment for several years, the City acquired the building and land in 2009 via tax title as it was identified as a target redevelopment site. The site includes a building located at 135-139 Lyman Street with adjacent land parcels. In total this opportunity includes five adjacent parcels and the City will only accept proposals that will acquire and redevelop all five parcels. The one building on the site was constructed in 1910 and has six floors and a basement, with a total square footage of approximately 29,750 square feet. The total area of all parcels, including the empty lots, totals approximately 20,002 square feet. See Section D for property specifics. For proposers seeking to propose residential uses, a zoning change and onsite parking will be required.
