The project will accomplish the upgrading of existing Siemens Control panels on air handling systems and boiler and chiller plants, from older ventage Siemens MBC panels to newer Siemens PXC panel platform. This upgrade will occur campus wide. The upgrade will include the replacement of all pneumatically operated valve and damper actuators on each respective system. In addition, the engineering effort shall include a review of each systems sequence of operation. New sequences shall be developed in conjunction with SCC facilities personnel to meet operational and energy goals. The selected design team will have experience in the design & construction administration of similar air handler replacement projects. Important elements in the selection process will be experience in ensuring protection of building interiors and surrounding campus property. The firms must have experience in the complete design and monitoring of the installation of major air handler systems, to ensure work meets all requirements and to ensure subsequent warranties.
