The Waipuka Well Site involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as necessary to refurbish the existing Waipuka Wells (2) motor control center (MCC) and electrical facilities, and to furnish the well site with a new emergency generator, all in accordance with the Water System Standards 2002. The upgrades will mainly consist of installing a new MCC building, electrical facility upgrades, MCC upgrades, new SCADA equipment and a new on-site emergency generator. The existing wells must remain in operation during construction of new facilities. The new MCC shall have a fully automatic emergency generator transfer switch in MCC building. A cubical for SCADA along with new SCADA hardware and PLC controls shall be installed with new MCC facility in place complete. The Kanaha Well Site involves replacement of the existing motor control centers and related electrical components, installation of an automatic transfer switch for a portable emergency generator, installation of PLC controls, SCADA cabinet, upgrade of the chlorine disinfection system at both well sites. The construction will require that at least one of the existing wells will remain in operation during construction of the project.
