It is the intent of this bid specification to establish terms to provide Somerset County and its Cooperative members, hereafter referred to as owners with a 24-month contract for Original/ NonOriginal Equipment Manufactured Parts & Repairs. Original Equipment Manufactured will hereafter be referred to as OEM and Non-Original Equipment Manufactured as non-OEM. 1.1 This contract shall be awarded with a primary and secondary award for each of the 31 manufacturers. A vendor may bid on one or all line items that meet specifications. Category A award shall be based on lowest labor rate for repairs per manufacturer. Category B award shall be based on highest discount off list price for OEM and Non-OEM Parts. In the event that a bidder wishes to provide a 0% discount, a 0% shall be written on the proposal page. A blank or % entry will constitute a NO BID response. 1.2 No Guarantees are made for or implied for the total value of the contract for the County only purposes. 1.3 This contract shall be bid as a Cooperative Contract. Somerset County intends to extend the contracts awarded to its Cooperative members. A list of Cooperative members is included in this bid. 2.0 REPLACEMENT PARTS: 2.1 Replacement parts shall be for Heavy Duty Vehicles with 14,500 GVW or higher. Non -OEM parts are new replacement parts, which are designed, manufactured and approved by manufacturers other than OEM. 2.2 Pricing for OEM/ Non-OEM replacement parts shall be based on a percentage discount from the current list price. 2.3 The percentage discount will be taken from the OEM/Non-OEM parts price list catalog, CD, DVD, or Web-Site on the equipment bid. 2.4 The OEM/ Non-OEM parts price list, reference number shall be included with this bid specification when applicable. 2.5 Rebuilt or remanufactured parts can be bid.
