The project involves the installation of either a 6’ detached or 8’ attached sidewalk on a portion of Old State Route 74 in Union Township, Clermont County, Ohio, between Schoolhouse Road, Bach Buxton Road, and Dogwood Drive, including cross walks and signal modifications and pedestrian signalization. Construction activities will occur primarily on the south side of the roadway facility, with some construction activities also on the north side and at the intersections of Schoolhouse Road and Old SR 74, as well as Bach-Buxton and Old State Route 74, through the approximate terminus at or near Dogwood Drive. The project is approximately 2,100 +/- linear feet in length. Walk may vary between the two types noted, based on utility conflicts and R/W impacts. Project may require drainage improvements, depending upon design, and will likely require retaining walls in several areas due to existing topography. In addition, the project includes potential modification to an existing median/lane splitter island at Bach Buxton and Old State Route 74, pedestrian signalization and signal modifications at both termini, and associated cross walk striping. See attached LPA Scope of Services Document, attached as Exhibit A, and attached Preliminary/Concept Plan attached as Exhibit B.
