Contractor will provide to the CMPA collection containers which are suitable for the purposes of storage, collection, and shipment of spent (empty) brass bullet casings. A. As an example, the contractor may provide 55-gallon steel drums (including lids) with pallets and straps or other retention products as would be required for shipping. The type of containers furnished must be approved by the CMPA prior to delivery to the firearms range. B. Contractor to submit full specifications and pictures for the type of containers to be furnished, with lids, pallets, and straps or other retention products as would be provided for shipping. Contractor will collect the spent brass for recycling no less than two times per calendar year, scheduled as needed by the CMPA. A. The CMPA estimates that a single shipment will be approximately 3000 – 4500 pounds of brass casings and containers. B. Scheduled pickups will be coordinated with the CMPA’s contact person or their designee. C. Pickups for shipment must be made from the site of container storage, the firearms range. D. Transportation/shipping between the site of container storage and the point of recycling, including cost, is the responsibility of the contractor.
