DPS seeks a qualified Contractor that is an accredited laboratory, with resources to test, report on, and provide court testimony, if necessary, for backlogged controlled substance evidence samples, including those samples that require distinguishing marijuana from hemp. DPS may include blind proficiency samples in these evidence samples at any time as a quality assurance mechanism. DPS reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of evidence samples for analysis at any point during this Contract up to the maximum capacity of Contractor. DPS will send evidence samples to Contractor's laboratory. Once the evidence samples are confirmed "received," with tracking numbers assigned for delivery, Contractor must complete a controlled substance analysis within 30 days from the date of Contractor's receipt of the evidence sample.
