Missouri Vocational Enterprise (MVE) desires to establish a contract for chair kits with SCSTX LLC DBA Chair1. SCSTX LLC is the sole supplier of various seating products that are distributed in component kits, developed and priced exclusively for manufacture by correctional industries programs within Missouri Vocational Enterprises. The components provided by SCSTX LLC are currently in production at MVE and any other products would interfere with their product lineup. In addition SCSTX LLC is the only vendor that MVE has been able to establish any form of collaboration in regards to offering a chair with a five hundred pound (500lb) weight capacity including ADA capabilities. As a result, this represent a proprietary requirement that meets the criteria of a single feasible source under RSMo 34.044, therefore, the State will be pursuing acquisition of the chair kits as a single feasible source.
