4.1.1 Snow and Ice Removal – The vendor shall remove and clear all snow from required areas at any time snowfall is forecasted. Required areas are as follows: parking lot, driveway, fire lanes and circle, per visit. 4.1.1.1 The Vendor shall provide snow removal of accumulated snow. Snow shall be left on-site and moved to a designated area that will be determined by the Building and Grounds Supervisor or his designee. 4.1.1.2 Vendor must be on site within two (2) hours from time of notification from WVVNF. 4.1.1.3 Vendor must provide an emergency telephone number and must be accessible via the emergency number 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, this shall include holidays and weekends. 4.1.1.4 Vendor shall take necessary precautions to avoid property damage to vehicles, shrubbery, sidewalks, structures, or buildings adjacent to the areas where snow is being removed. Vendor shall also use necessary precautions to avoid damaging of property when treating areas with ice/snow melting formula. 4.1.1.5 Once a designated area has been established by Agency, if applicable, vendor shall push all snow over the guardrail at the side of the parking lot. Vendor is to ensure that removed snow does not block access to walkways, handicap ramps, handicap parking spaces or other specially marked parking spaces, parking meters, fire hydrant and utility or generator access points. 4.1.1.6 Excess piles of snow may be requested to be removed during a major snowfall event or prolonged period of snow. This may involve physical removal of snow from site.
