A. Apply In-Place Asphalt Paving to the locations within Henderson County as requested by County Engineer Nick Stallings. Paving must be placed in accordance to temperatures specified in the KYTC Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Edition of 2019. B. C. D. The contractor must apply a safety wedge along the edge of the roadway not to add to the edge drop off. The paver shall be safety equip with a modified screed that extends the full width of the wedge being placed and is tapered to produce a wedge unless the roadway has a curb and gutter. All driveways or other exits off the roadway being paved shall be tapered down. Contractor will be required to millall road back 75 foot for edge keys at tie-in points. These points are, bridge ends, start and stop locations, railroad crossing edges, and intersections. Roads with special milling requirements will be listed below. This work will be incidental to the paving price. All milled edges must be signed with "bump" or similar sign. Paving needs to begin within 48 hours of milling. E. Asphalt Tack Coat shall be incidental when the vendor is placing asphalt material; however, material certification is required upon request. All pavements must have adequate amount of tack matching KYTC Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Edition of 2019. F. Traffic Control shall be supplied by the Vendor according to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, current edition, at no additional cost to the Department. G. The payment will be per ton of asphalt placed. All labor, materials, equipment, tack, etc. needed to place asphalt on the roadway will be incidental to payment per ton of asphalt. H. The contractor will be required to pave all pavements full width of the roadway.
