BID PHASE SUPPORT SERVICES - It is anticipated that the City Engineering Department will manage the public bidding phases of the project and the Consultant will assist and perform the following services listed below, but not restricted or limited to: Assist the City in developing a list of potential contractors or suppliers. Assist the City in respond to contractor or supplier questions. Assist the City in preparing pre-bid addenda as may be required. Assist the City and attend pre-bid informational meeting. Attend the bid opening, assist the City in the evaluation of bids, and prepare a recommendation for award of contract. Construction Phase Services - It is anticipated that the City Engineering Department will perform the construction inspection and contract administration during the construction phase and the Consultant will assist and perform the following services listed below, but not restricted or limited to: Assist the City and attend pre-construction meeting. Review and approve material sources and shop drawings. Consultant shall assist in responding to questions as to quality and acceptability of materials furnished and work performed. Consultant shall assist in answering and clarifying questions during construction on the interpretation and intent of the plans and specifications. Consultant shall assist in Construction Engineering services to troubleshoot and resolve problems arising during construction. Assist the City in the review of change orders during construction. Consultant shall attend weekly project coordination meetings during construction. Assist with preparing punch list items, conduct a final inspection, review contract closeout documentation. Consultant shall provide certificate of completion for City acceptance and recommend final payment to close out the construction contract.
