The work will generally consist of professional geotechnical consulting services to support the operations and maintenance of the Dougherty Valley Geologic Hazard Abatement District (DV GHAD) or Northwest San Ramon Geologic Hazard Abatement District (NWSR GHAD). Services may include, but are not limited to: - Conduct routine and post-storm geologic hazard site monitoring and reporting - Evaluate geologic hazards, including slope stability and landslides - Design and oversee landslide mitigation, repairs, and long-term monitoring - Provide erosion control recommendation and repair - Assess and design remediation for creek bank erosion, slope failures, and retaining walls failures - Provide technical support during construction of landslide repairs - Respond to emergencies following major storms, seismic events, or reported ground movement - Prepare design plans, specifications, and other contract documents - Coordinate with private property owners, consultants, utility providers, and permitting agencies - Participate in GHAD Board meetings - Perform peer reviews of third-party memorandums and reports - Prepare monitoring reports and technical memorandums - Install and monitor inclinometers or other devices to track ground movement - Provide GIS mapping support - Perform other geotechnical or geologic consulting services related to GHAD maintenance
