The City of Sunnyvale invites qualified organizations to submit bids to update the existing street tree inventory through its existing TreeKeeper™ database, managed by Davey Resource Group. The data is owned by the City, which will provide access for vendors to update records using TreeKeeper™ and add to the tree inventory per the scope of work and specifications included. Vendors who wish to use their own software to collect the tree inventory data, must be able to convert and update the new data into Treekeeper™ for this project. The purpose of this contract is to provide the City of Sunnyvale with a field verified street tree inventory update to the TreeKeeper™ database and inventory all the existing City maintained parks trees to include GPS coordinates for all city-maintained trees (i.e. street trees and parks trees). There are approximately 40,000 street trees inventoried in TreeKeeper™. Many trees have been replaced without the new species being updated as well as trees planted in residential and commercial developments without being added to TreeKeeper™, therefore, the site data and tree species data require updating. The selected firm will work closely with the City Urban Landscape Manager and the City Arborist to identify public rights-of-way and other locations of City maintained trees
