The successful contractor will provide two barges to transport and deploy the steel modules. The modules will be loaded on the barges by Ingalls Shipbuilding and the contractor will only need to provide the means of transporting and offloading the modules offshore. The contractor will be responsible for securing the modules to their barges once loaded for transport. Once the barges arrive at the artificial reef zone, the contractor will deploy, by crane, each of the steel modules. The modules will have lifting points and should be lowered to the sea floor via cables. Deployments must occur during daylight hours. The Contractor must provide the MDMR with the name(s) and phone number(s) of the person(s) who will be the official contact(s) for the Contractor. The Contractor must provide a list of the exact equipment that will be used to transport and deploy the modules.
