Provide interpreter support services for residents who traditionally do not have access to early intervention services, within the District of Columbia. These services are to include residents who are hearing impaired and/or Hard of Hearing. Services shall include: American Sign Language interpreters to Person(s) who are Hearing Impaired and/or Hard of Hearing; to provide effective, accurate and appropriate interpretation of medical and developmental discussions and conversations, eliminating communication barriers. This shall include interpretation of discussions regarding typical/atypical early childhood development, developmental interventions and medical/genetic information as pertains to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and/or disabilities, into the family’s primary language.
