Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Office of Mental Health intends to procure the Pexip Infinity solution to provide secure telehealth video consultations with emergency departments across the state. The Pexip solution provides unique features that include far-end camera control that other solutions don’t provide. It also provides seamless integration with current emergency department infrastructure to support secure, compliant telehealth services. The Office of Mental Health Emergency Department Telepsychiatry program has used a PolyCom solution in the past to provide psychiatric assessments to patients in emergency departments in crisis across the state. The PolyCom solution being used is no longer supported and must be replaced to continue to provide these critical emergency services. The Pexip solution would provide a nearly seamless integration with the SIP-enabled hardware endpoints currently deployed throughout the ED Telepsychiatry hospitals. Pexip supports far-end camera control (PTZ) capability, which is critical for the type of emergency consultations being performed by our ED physicians. Many of the PTZ camera options supported by Pexip are significantly less expensive than what has been purchased for the Poly solution in the past, which would help lower overall program cost going forward.
