The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) hereby provides notice, pursuant to the authority of SC Code 11-35-1560 and SC Regulation 19-445-2105, that it intends to award without competition a sole source contract to Oxford Instruments America Inc. for maintenance agreements for Aztec mics/x-stream2//X-MaxN50, Aztec mics/x-stream2//X-MaxN80, and Aztec//micsF+//xstream2//X-MaxN50 x-ray detector instruments used by the Trace Evidence Department in SLED's Forensic Services Laboratory. Oxford Instruments America Inc. is the only manufacturer-authorized source in the United States for maintenance services (including proprietary components, parts and software updates) for the instruments.
