Vendor Shall: 1. Furnish one (1) Uniformed Unarmed Security Guard seven (7) days a week, including holidays (NC Holiday Schedule), from the hours of 8:00 PM – 4:00 AM ET. 2. Furnish a qualified Uniformed Unarmed Security Guard within two (2) hours of the time of notification from the NCDOT Ferry Division if the on-duty Uniformed Unarmed Security Guard must end their shift due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances. 3. Provide or ensure the following workwear and equipment are being used by the Uniformed Unarmed Security Guard(s): • A standard, neat and clean uniform consisting of a grey polo shirt, khaki pants, and black boots or black shoes (sneakers are NOT allowed). The polo shirt must have SECURITY text prominently displayed on the front of the shirt, at a minimum. Footwear and uniforms must be approved by the NCDOT Ferry Division before use. • Flashlights, hats, coats, and other inclement weather gear. • A communication device (Cell Phone is acceptable) that can transmit and receive between on-site and off-site locations and can be used to summon local law enforcement or other emergency services. NCDOT Shall: 1. Provide monitors and other ancillary equipment for security work only. NCDOT provided equipment is not for personal use. 2. Provide security identification badges (IDs) prior to the start of work. All IDs shall be returned to NCDOT if an employee is no longer working at the assigned NCDOT location(s).
