The Library has 78,092 book/DVD/books on CD volumes in its collection. This project will be a coordinated effort between the selected moving company, a shelving contractor and Library personnel in 3 phases, to which the moving company is responsible for Phase 1 and Phase 3. Phase 1 – to be completed by the moving company would involve boxing up all the volumes in our temporary location for storage in the McConnell Center—approximately 23,145 volumes. Phase 2 – to be completed by our shelving contractor would involve dismantling the shelving in the McConnell Center and then reassembling the shelving in the Library building. We estimate this task would take between 1 and 2 weeks. Phase 3 – to be completed by the moving company would involve relocating the books from the McConnell Center to the Library building next door. The book movers would than re-shelve and reintegrate all 78,092 volumes onto the new shelving locations for each category.
