The Contractor, upon receiving a request for services from the Contract Monitor, shall be required to perform the following: a. Report to the Contract Monitor to receive the specific snowplow assignment. b. Furnish all labor for plowing the road leading into the CTPHC facility and all parking lots within the facility including treating the surfaces with appropriate salt solution or equivalent as to not damage the area. c. Provide the equipment with staff as listed below, at a minimum: i. One, ¾ ton truck, equipped with driver, hydraulic mounted snowplow and attached salt spreader (or equivalent). Vehicle must have capability to push or plow snow from parking lots. ii. Equipment must be in good working condition as all equipment required to perform the work shall be readily available, on-call, twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. iii. Must respond within one hour after the request for services have been made. iv. Equipment shall be prepared to commence clearing and removal of snow and ice from parking lots and driveways after being notified by Contract Monitor or designee. v. CTPHC reserves the right to inspect the required equipment prior to the award of the contract and during the term of the contract. vi. Must have the ability and means to lease/rent additional or back-up equipment during a snow event. vii. Shall have back-up equipment operators and equipment readily available to be used, if necessary, due to breakdown of equipment or unavailability of personnel. viii. During extreme storm events, crews and equipment for shoveling main entrances and sidewalks. CTPHC shall provide the deicing materials to spread on sidewalks during this events. d. Shall plow the snow to the perimeter (outside boundaries) of the parking lots and onto grassy areas unless directed otherwise by the Contract Monitor or designee.
