Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) needs to connect 6 strands of single mode fiber from Oakdale Middle School located at 5810 Oakdale School Road, Ijamsville, MD 21754 to a new elementary school, Linganore Creek Elementary School, located at 5680 Mussetter Road, New Market, MD 21774. The new fiber must be able to support 100G. a. Service will come into the building off Mussetter Road and will have a conduit to feed to the center of the building for the location of the Main Distribution Frame (MDF). The service needs to come into the MDF and terminate into a 1U rack mount shelf provided by the contractor and terminate to SC-APC connectors. b. The other end of the fiber will be 5810 Oakdale School Road. There is a conduit into the MDF and can follow existing services path and should be terminated to a 1U rack mount shelf provided by the contractor to SC-APC connections. c. Alternate locations listed are listed below. They do not have a direct path into the MDF. The contractor would be responsible for getting connection the MDF terminating to a 1U rack mount shelf provided by the contractor to SC-APC connections. Oakdale High School, 5850 Eaglehead Drive, Ijamsville, MD 21754 New Market Elementary School, 93 W Main Street, New Market, MD 21774 Deer Crossing Elementary School, 10601 Finn Drive, New Market, MD 21774 d. All fiber to be tested and test results provided at completion of the project. e. Any site walkthroughs must be scheduled and coordinated with FCPS staff. f. Provide service for protection of cable from damage after installation.
