The proposed work involves replacing the Bridge on County Road 611 over the Maries River near Westphalia with a fourspan bridge approximately 360’ in length utilizing MoDOT NU63 prestressed concrete girders. End Bent 1 and Intermediate Bent 2 will be supported by driven steel piles and will be protected by 2'-0" thick rock blanket. Intermediate Bents 3 and 4 will be founded on drilled shafts with rock sockets. End Bent 5 will set at a rock berm with pre-bored steel piles. Flared girder lines near the East end of the bridge will be required to accommodate the new horizontal roadway alignment to improve safety and maneuverability on the East side. The road and the bridge have been closed since 2020 and no further removal of the existing bridge will be required. Vehicular traffic to be maintained on alternative routes during construction. All equipment, material, and workmanship must be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents on file with Osage County.
