Task: A The Contractor shall perform diatom identification and enumeration on 70 periphyton samples per year collected by the State. The Contractor shall count and identify diatoms to the lowest possible taxonomic level, which should be species or in some cases variety, under oil immersion at 1000X magnification. The Contractor shall count a minimum of 600 valves from each microscope slide and shall use permanent mounts provided by the State. The Contractor shall provide a report to the State thirty (30) days after completing each sampling assignment. The Contractor shall return the samples to the State after identification. Task: B The Contractor shall submit no less than one (1) invoice annually and an electronic data file to the State with the data in a format compatible with the State’s Assessment Information Management System (AIMS) database, including Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. This is a non-budgeted task.
