The selected applicant will be responsible for delivering the following services: 1. Volunteer Recruitment and Outreach a. Develop and implement a volunteer recruitment strategy that ensures broad participation across the city, including individuals with lived experience of homelessness b. Create and distribute promotional materials in coordination with OHS’ communication team c. Manage the volunteer sign-up process, including an online registration platform, confirmation, team assignments and tracking of volunteer data 2. Volunteer Training and Preparation a. Design and deliver multiple in-person and virtual training sessions, ensuring materials are clear, trauma-informed, and aligned with HUD guidance b. Training should cover: i. Purpose of the PIT ii. Survey tool and methodology iii. Safety protocols iv. Respectful engagement practices c. Track and document volunteer participation and completion of required training 3. Volunteer Management and Deployment Coordination a. Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, managing communications, logistics and last-minute changes b. Organize volunteers into teams and coordinate final rosters c. Provide day-of support, including check-in and troubleshooting
