A: RACKS AND TRAYS FOR BREAD 1. APPROPRIATE SAFE RACK/TRAY SYSTEM MUST BE FURNISHED, FREE OF CHARGE, TO TDCJ. INTERCONNECTING STACKABLE TRAYS MADE OF DURABLE QUALITY ARE ACCEPTABLE AND MUST BE STABLE AND SAFE WHEN STACKED. 2. RACK TRAY QUANTITY PROVIDED SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE BAKERY BASED ON HOW MANY LOAVES ARE IN A TRAY AND THE QUANTITY DESIGNATED FOR EACH UNIT. 3. IF USING A RACK TRAY SYSTEM, RACKS MUST BE BUILT TO SLIDE HORIZONTA SO THAT THE BREAD CAN BE REMOVED FROM THE VARIOUS LEVELS OF RACKS WITHOUT UN-STACKING THE RACKS. IF USING A TRAY-STACKING METHOD, TRAYS MUST BE OF DURABLE QUALITY, STABLE WHEN STACKED AND EASILY DETACHABLE. 4. EMPTY RACK TRAYS ARE TO BE PICKED UP DURING FUTURE DELIVERIES. 5. RACKS SHALL BE MAINTAINED BY THE VENDOR AND ARE ON LOAN TO TDCJ 6. RACKS MUST BE PICKED UP BY THE VENDOR WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF THE BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER. 7. TDCJ MAY AT THEIR DISCRETION DISCARD ANY RACKS WHICH ARE NOT PICKED UP AFTER 30 DAYS THE EXPIRATION OF THE BLANKET PURCHASE ORDER, AT NO COST TO TDCJ. B: PRODUCT CODES AND DATES 1. ALL PRODUCTS MUST BE MARKED WITH "BEST USED BY OR PURCHASED BY" DATE. ANY LOAVES WITHOUT THIS MARKING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. 2. VENDOR MUST KEEP THE CUSTOMER UP TO DATE ON THE CHANGES TO ANY DATE OR MANUFACTURE CODES USED ON THE PRODUCTS. 3. VENDOR MUST ADHERE TO THESE CODES AND DATES.
