The City of Huntsville, TX is interested in gaining prices for a mowing and trimming service within the Huntsville City Limits. The City’s desire is for the service areas to be maintained continuously. All areas are to be free of litter and unwanted debris prior to any mowing. There is no guarantee of frequency or zone. The City reserves the right to make reasonable amendments to the areas of work during the life of this award. At any time during this term the City of Huntsville will reserve the right to delete any areas listed or to add additional areas or expand the request to include items such as acreage and/or park land. Should items be added the awarded responder(s) will be given an opportunity to view/walk the requested area and submit the best price using the specifications given. Service Provider Responsibilities • All work to take place during the day light hours – Sun up to sun down, unless prior approval fornight work is gained; • To pick up and remove all paper, plastic, metal trash, fallen branches, tires or any material in theassigned public right of ways prior to mowing. • When possible, all litter shall be placed in bags and near the roadway for pick-up. All large debrisshall be clearly marked and placed near the roadway. • No litter piles/bags shall block any sideway, driveway or other path way. • All litter bags or debris piles collected shall be pick-up daily and properly discarded/recycled. Anylitter not properly discarded/recycled shall be grounds for immediate termination. The service provider shall be responsible for all costs associated with improper handling of any litter or debris. • Main service area is for approximately 95 acres of street right of way mowing and curb/sidewalk vegetation trimming on Veterans Memorial Parkway, Colonel Etheridge, Financial Plaza, Smither, Woodward, Robinson Creek Parkway and other streets assigned which are within the City of Huntsville. • Bruce Brothers Regional Airport, runway/taxiway and fence line mowing. Approximately 100 acres with approximately 40 acres will be on an as-needed basis. To be mowed as needed upon request. The awarded responder will be responsible for replacing and installing any damaged airport lighting and signage. All equipment should have a safety beacon or a orange and white safety flag installed during operations for safety. • City of Huntsville Transfer Station, surrounding land to be mowed. Approximately 22 acres. To be mowed as needed upon request. • All mowings should include as-needed handwork in areas that cannot be mowed by mowers. The entire identified mowing area should be cut during each cutting. • Shall provide any/all appropriate licenses and insurance information to the City. • Shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, water, safety equipment, transportation etc. for properexecution and completion of all work. • To provide on-site supervisor and cell phone number. • To provide before and after photos to be submitted with invoice when possible. • All work crew members shall be required at a minimum to wear a high visibility safety vests. • All vehicles being used shall display the service providers contact information. • Service provider shall be responsible for any injuries to provider’s staff or damage to any Cityowned property or equipment.
