2.1. The State of Vermont is interested in obtaining bids to meet the following business need(s): Shipping palletized child car seats to car seat fitting stations and community partners. 2.2. Shipping Details: 2.2.1.The Contractor shall transport up to 10 pallets (pre-assembled by State) to various community organizations across the state of Vermont. 2.2.2.All shipments will be picked up in Colchester, VT 2.2.3.All deliveries will be in-state. 2.2.4.Contractor to be responsible for loading/unloading of freight as well as transport. 2.2.5.Expected frequency of need will be 6-12 shipments per year. 2.3. The State of Vermont seeks to achieve the following Business Value(s): 2.3.1.Cost Savings: Over the lifecycle of the new solution, the total costs will be less than the current solution. 2.3.2.Risk Reduction: The new solution will reduce risk to the State 2.3.3.Efficiency: The new solution will be more efficient than the current system.
