Interested Respondents should detail their experience and success serving high needs child welfare and foster youth ages 10-18 with trauma histories and very challenging behavior. Behavior could include verbal and physical aggression, oppositional defiance, property damage, sexual acting out, peer instigation, and other typical teenage behavior. Services should be provided by staff well-versed in crisis intervention and stabilization who operate within a trauma-informed approach. The organization supporting this program will need to demonstrate a history of success with the population, as well as cultural competence in urban settings. Progress notes will be documented within CONNECTIONS. The chosen Respondent must be able to plan for staffing flexibility to meet the needs of all youth referred to Intensive Day Support - for example provide increased staffing support for a particularly high needs youth. Because the program is specific to high needs youth, Respondents should expect not to reject/eject youth, though a brief suspension could be considered to support enhanced planning.
