Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. SC State Parks had planned to transition its retail operations to another vendor in October 2025, coinciding with the expiration of its contract with Brandt/Itinio. However, after nine months of collaboration, it was determined that the vendor could not meet the operational and technical needs of the agency. This has created an emergency situation. These features are fundamental to the daily operations of the South Carolina State Parks, which generate approximately $8 million annually in retail revenue. This revenue is not discretionary—it is essential to our ability to operate and serve the public. Without a fully functional system in place by the October deadline, the agency will be unable to effectively process sales, manage inventory, or maintain revenue continuity. The result will be a multi-million dollar financial loss and a severe disruption to park operations statewide. Vendor is unable to deliver several critical features required for a successful Go-Live. These include: Inventory, Pricing and Promotions, Reporting and Analytics, System Integrations, Complex Point of Sale (POS) Capabilities. The agency already holds licenses for this platform and can reuse most existing hardware. We will need 27 Network attached storage (NAS) units along with various additional hardware components necessary for Point of Sale (POS) operations.
