RESPIRATORY PROTECTION SPECIFICATIONS Evidence that the Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) are compliant with NFPA 1981, Standard on Open-Circuit Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus for Emergency Services. Shall be certified as compliant with NFPA 1982, Standard on Personal Alert Safety Systems (PASS). For each standard, NFPA 1981 and NFPA 1982, the edition of the respective standard that is the current edition at the time of purchase shall be the edition specified. Shall be certified by NIOSH as compliant with NIOSH Standard for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Open Circuit Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Shall include: o Quantitative fit testing for each member (44) First round of fit testing A fit testing machine, software and training for future in-house fit testing o User training o Maintenance training o Manufacturer assistance developing SOPs for maintenance o SCBA testing on site prior to acceptance o Maintenance schedule o Complete parts list o SCBA user and service manuals o List of specialized equipment or special tools needed for SCBA maintenance o List of authorized service centers o Warranty statement o Procedures for returning items found to be defective upon initial receipt o Universal Emergency Breathing Safety System (UEBSS) for each SCBA o Heads-up Display includes cylinder pressure, battery status and evacuation information o Voice amplification o Portable radio interface if available o Three RIT pack systems with 4500 psi, 45-minute cylinders o 50 facepieces o 40 SCBA with regulator o 120 4500 psi, 30-minute cylinders
