The Bush Combat Development Center (BCDC) and The Texas A&M System, with support from the State of Texas, are developing a new 40,000 SF facility at the RELLIS Campus to support the Aircrew Labor In-cockpit Automation System (ALIAS). The facility will feature two hangar bays for Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk and Boeing CH-47 Chinook aircraft, with support spaces for simulation, testing, data operations, and staff functions. Designed as a Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB), the project incorporates concrete floors, aircraft lifts and cranes, apron space, and utility extensions. Additional elements include a communications tower, fuel storage and filling area, staff parking, and accommodation for a mobile Ground Control Station. The facility will comply with RELLIS standards, accommodate future expansion of two hangars, and offer network connectivity to the Research Integration Center.
