Removal of existing sidewalk trip hazards up to 1.5 inches in height. Trip hazards will be eliminated, leaving a maximum running slope of 1:8 as permitted by ADA requirements wherever possible. Sidewalk squares that have trip hazards of 1.5 inches or greater or meet other City replacement criteria noted will be replaced. The contractor is responsible for root removal and right-of-way restorations and all other relevant items noted in Contract/Bid Sheet 2025/2026, and 2026/2027 (attached). Unit quantities are usually half grinding and half remove and replace. These quantities are subject to change and do not exceed a contact amount of $200,000 in 2025/2026 and $250,000 in 2026/2027. Work will be performed utilizing the city sidewalk asset management map, commencing where the sidewalk maintenance and replacement program left off in FY 24/25 and working through the area noted that was last addressed in 2008. This will be a 2-year contract with a completion date for each year on or before June 25. Please see attached targeted project location map.
