7.1.1 Successful Bidder shall provide on-call disposal of Household Hazardous Wastes as determined by the County. A date shall be provided for service within two (2) business days of email or call (Monday to Friday, except for a legal, public holiday). Date of service shall be within fifteen (15) business days of notification. Although the County does not generally accept HHW at times other than the scheduled Drop-Off Days, there are occasions when hazardous waste is inadvertently dropped off at the County landfill, a Recycling Center (listed in section 7.1.4), or at other County locations. In these events, the Successful Bidder shall be required to provide on-call services for the disposal of Household Hazardous Waste. When requested by the County, the Successful Bidder shall come to the County-designated site and receive, identify, handle, and package the HHW. These wastes shall then be transported off-site and subsequently disposed of at a properly permitted hazardous waste disposal site. The Successful Bidder shall keep accurate records of materials received on an on-call basis and is responsible for completing all pertinent legal documentation, including, but not limited to, the Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest and D.O.T. shipping papers.
