1. The scope of this work shall be as shown in the criteria package and generally includes, but is not limited to, a PEMB approximately 117’L x 90’W x 38’H, one story hangar bay, entrance, hangar doors, restrooms, mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems. Contractor shall procure and install the building frame and support items. The support items are to include but are not limited to foundations, concrete slab, all exterior doors, building frame, siding, roof, insulation, ground structural steel and imbedded concrete grounding as well as building systems for mechanical, electrical, and fire protection. This scope is also inclusive of utility connections and varying site work improvements. 2. Contractor shall modify existing perimeter fencing per construction note 11 on C-100. Extent of existing fencing removal necessary to implement this scope of work shall be determined by the contractor and approved by VCSFA. Existing perimeter fence shall be returned to its existing location up to the façade of the North and South ends of the PEMB. Existing perimeter fence may be re-used or replaced with identical specifications at the contractor’s discretion. Contractor shall dispose of excess materials from removal. Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of existing viewing area fencing of approximately 80’ length and 4’ height at location indicated on C-100 and C-101, backfill, compact, and patch asphalt as necessary. Contractor shall maintain existing conditions of Airport adjacent to and/or utilized for the performance of this scope in and outside of the Limit of Disturbance. This maintenance includes but is not limited to dust control, housekeeping to mitigate risk of FOD on taxi/runways, asphalt protection/repair, and parking lot restriping as necessary to return the areas outside of the LOD to existing conditions at minimum upon completion. 3. Contractor shall be responsible for all utility connections to a fully operational state including coordination with utility owners, permitting, implementation, inspections, etc. The utility connections are to include electric, water, sewer, and storm water. 4. Refer to the attached criterial documents for full scope, dimensions, and details. 5. Attachment C, Melfa Hangar Construction Drawings, dated September 2024 will be submitted to Accomack County for permitting upon award of this contract. Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating with Owner-contracted Engineer of Record as needed for plan review to obtain permitting.
