Full Depth Pavement Reclamation (Calcium Chloride): Work under this contract shall consist of the Contractor furnishing equipment and materials to pulverize the in-place asphalt pavement and underlying material, spray liquid calcium chloride on the pulverized mass, mix and/or blend the material, spread and compact the resultant mixture to the lines and grades shown on the plans or established by the Director or his Designee, and cap the finished base with an application of calcium chloride. Bid quantities are approximate only; payment shall be for actual square yardage reclaimed. All HMA, complete in place, shall be constructed in accordance with the applicable provisions of Document 00717 SuperPave Requirements, Class I Bituminous Concrete Pavement, Type I-1; Section 460 Class I Bituminous Concrete Pavement, Type I-1; Section 701, Sidewalks, Wheelchair Ramps and Driveways; Section 220, Manhole and Catch Basin Structure Adjustment and meet specifications of M3-11-03 Job Mix Formula of the latest edition of the Standard Specifications, as amended. Pavement Milling This work shall consist of milling and removal of existing HMA pavement courses from the project by the Contractor. Milling shall be performed in conformity with the limits, line, grade, and typical cross-section shown on the plans. The milling operation shall be Micro Milling. The milled material shall become the property of the Contractor. Hot Mix Asphalt, Complete in Place: Unless otherwise specified, the work shall consist of the Contractor furnishing all equipment, materials, labor, supplies, quality control and supervision necessary for the construction of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), complete in place, in various locations of the Town of Holden. Adjustment of Castings: All work shall be per the requirements and specifications of the Holden Department of Public Works and the Special Provisions contained herein. The Town intends to perform this work itself. However, the Director at his discretion may choose to request that this work be performed by the contractor.
