A. The Contractor/Polygraph Examiner shall adhere to the Polygraph Examination Guidelines as outlined by the APA in Exhibit J.8. B. The Contractor/Polygraph Examiner shall video record all Polygraph examinations. Digital recordings shall be retained for a minimum of three years. C. The Contractor/Polygraph Examiner shall release all video recordings to the Department upon request. D. The Contractor/Polygraph Examiner shall administer a Polygraph to the Client to determine if a Client is being deceptive or manipulative with compliance of special conditions of supervision and treatment. Polygraph examinations shall be conducted as follows: 1. An instant offense examination, which covers the sexual offense, shall be conducted within six months of release on supervision for Clients who are in denial. 2. A sexual history disclosure examination which covers the Client’s lifetime, not including the most current sexual offense, will be conducted within six months of release on supervision for Clients who admit their offense and within nine months of release on supervision for Clients who require an instant offense test. 3. A maintenance or monitoring examination which covers the time frame from the most current sexual offense to the present time, or from the last Polygraph to present will be conducted after the initial sexual history or instant offense is completed, based on Static99/Static-99R. Once a Texas Risk Assessment System (TRAS) has been completed, the TRAS level shall be utilized, as follows: a. High-risk Clients: every six months; and b. Moderate and low-risk Clients: annually.
