1. Contractor shall provide telepsychiatry services to all programs at Larned State Hospital (LSH) as assigned; an average of thirty (30) hours per week, not to exceed 1560 hours annually. 2. Functions in clinical matters by conferring with medical staff regarding problems in their area of assignment, provides guidance to LSH staff on clinical problems, and is available for consultation. 3. Participates in patient treatment planning and team meetings. 4. Participates in clinical/diagnostic workups, as needed and requested by physicians and/or treatment team facilitators. 5. Communicates with other involved staff members regarding patient's needs. 6. Carries out examination of patients at the time of admission and formulates an initial treatment plan. 7. Completes patient assessments per program regulation (i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly) and as needed for patient care. 8. Prescribes initial treatment and diagnostic procedures. 9. Maintains a clinical caseload as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer. 10. Explains to the patients all prescriptions and procedures, including benefits and risks. 11. Provides consultations and care for severe and/or chronic psychiatric illness/conditions as requested. 12. Completes all documentation within required time frames in the LSH approved electronic medical record. 13. Documents in the patient records as required by accrediting agencies and LSH Policy, the patient's progress and treatment prescribed. 14. Documents medical and psychiatric changes, noting changes in medication and justification for such. 15. Documents assessment of abnormal laboratory reports, justification for use of seclusion/restraint.
