Lynn Community Health Center is situated between Union, Buffum and Blake Streets with the entryway connecting the two buildings, Mantzoukas and Hayes. The vertical expansion and lobby refresh will be limited to the existing 3 story Hayes building. The project scope is as follows: • Vertical expansion to add level 4 above the Hayes building for an outpatient obstetrics and pediatric clinic. (15,159 Square feet) • Rooftop terrace and function area for staff. Rooftop area to include elevator vestibule, bathrooms and a screen wall. (3,500 Square feet) • (1) new elevator shaft for new patient capacity and access to the rooftop level. • (2) existing elevators to be refurbished and extended to the roof. • Stairwells to be extended to the rooftop level. • Entry lobby area and bathrooms for ADA upgrade, finish upgrades and address ramp issues at back entry. (3,387 Square feet) • Exterior façade upgrades and repairs to blend existing and new vertical expansion • New exterior canopy, lighting and signage. (signage design by others) • Streetscape refresh with new placement of walkway trees and sidewalk • Rooftop mechanical systems to be replaced in kind, but with phased planning to ensure the building service and patient care is not interrupted.
