The services required for the Peach Knob Tower Rebuild Engineering Services project include: Planning, Conceptual Design, Architectural Design, Tower Structural Analysis, Design and Development of Construction Drawings, Cost Estimation, Construction Bid Documents, Permitting, and Construction Administration. The construction activities, to be conducted by a construction firm that is hired using the Construction Bid documents, will include but may not be limited to the following areas: removing and disposing of the fallen tower and equipment mounted on it, removal of the foundation, and the design of a new 150’ guyed mast tower with FEMA-approved reinforced foundation, anchors and guy wire design that meets the FEMA cost estimate and mitigation proposal. It is the City’s intention to replace the former Rohn 45G90R tower with a stronger Rohn 45GRS130R tower.
