Dane County is inviting bids for construction services to remove and replace two existing water cooled chillers along with two cooling towers and associated pumps/piping/controls in the Dane County Courthouse. This project will involve the installation of specific long lead time equipment that has been procured by the Owner. The project schedule will require substantial completion before the 2026 cooling season. Due to the construction of the Dane County Jail, this project will face some unique logistical challenges that will need to be fully understood prior to bid. All construction materials larger than what can be placed on a small hand cart or carried will need to be brought into the courthouse via the Jail construction site. This will require a great deal of communication, coordination and site training with the General Contractor to successfully execute the requirements of the Courthouse project. Dane County will be prepared to cover specific logistical costs imposed on this project by the adjacent Jail Construction Project through the County approved allocation of defined Allowances.
