he Contractor shall coordinate with City Staff to select final materials and colors for the project features, including stucco finish/color, handrail components and column/post components, and metal handrail. The New Concrete HC Ramp shall be finished with cut safety grooves for a non-skid surface. The grooves shall be 1/4" deep x 1/4" wide x 2” apart on center. These parallel line grooves shall be created with concrete finishing tool designed to provide the expected finish. New Concrete Entry Deck shall receive a Medium Broom Finish. This finish shall be achieved using a horsehair or nylon broom designed for the specific purpose of creating grooves that enhance traction without being overly aggressive. The contractor shall match the existing layout, dimensions and elevations of current porch deck, ramp and handrails. All existing pavement that is required to be removed and replaced to achieve new construction shall be saw cut, removed, disposed of, and then replaced in kind to match existing look and finish. Special Scope of Work Item: The contractor shall disconnect, reconnect and reroute roof gutter downspout drains as required to direct rain/storm water away from under new deck/foundation construction.
