The OIG seeks vendors with expertise in the area of court reporting services on an as-needed basis at the discretion of the OIG. All individuals authorized to provide services in accordance with this RFR will be required to meet the following minimum requirements for each engagement: • Report for all scheduled engagements. • Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time to set up equipment and receive instructions. • Administer an oath to witnesses as a notary public of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. • Create a complete and accurate record of the proceeding in accordance with standard court reporter and stenographer practices. • Dress and comport themselves in a professional manner. • Maintain stenographic notes during their retention period. • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality regarding notes and/or transcripts. • When requested, produce and deliver a complete, accurate, verbatim transcript in the agreed upon time. The OIG will provide the vendor with at least 48 hours’ notice of the time and place for services to be performed under this RFR. The location of these services will be at the OIG office on Floor 13 of One Ashburton Place, Boston, MA 02108, or at another off-site location to be determined. If held at an off-site location, the OIG will not reimburse the vendor for travel expenses. In the event of a location change, the OIG will notify the vendor at least 6 hours in advance of any previously scheduled engagement.
